Traveling from Belize to San Diego, the flight was grounded in TX for over four hours due to bad weather. I was anxious to get back home but realized these little setbacks were nothing in light of what God did through that trip.
When God calls you to do something, I pray that you don’t think about how much you’re going to be inconvenienced but think about how many people are going to be helped. The Bible says, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33).

That is so great to hear about the Impact made in Belize! I made that decision a few months ago to give all of me to god and now I am building myself into youth ministry and seeing youth lives changed weekly and with that is allowed to use my spiritual gifts for him.
It is so amazing to see people get saved and then to the next level or serving our Him!!
Glad you had a great trip and that you are home safe!
God Bless!
A great reminder. Thank you.
Pastor Miles, all I can say is Thank God you didn't have to walk around the mountain for 40 years..It looks like it was tiring enough to travel and be on such a tight schedule. It sounds like God delivered many in your visit to Beliz and Is preparing many new and exciting plans for the young adults there. It is only natural to wonder why you were delayed on a plane, and be somewhat annoyed, but again this makes you REAL for all of us to see and somewhat feel relieved that even our Pastor gets tired and anxious. But there is always an answer to our questions and concerns and when you relate these experiences we get to see a personal glimpse of our Pastor. It is calming and always reassuring you trust Explicitly in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and you are His servant no matter what country your in. I hope and pray all of us can mirror your dedication and DO SOMETHING! Thanks Pastor! ADawson
Praise God.
ahh so very true.
Hi Miles!
This is very true...God always lets his will be known! ...if it doesnt work out your way and you gave it to God and prayed about it...it's because it's not his will!
Thats how I feel about my recent move to San Diego. I met you two weeks ago after the five oclock service, my name is Tracy...the one with the "gap" in her teeth :) Anyways I didn't know WHY God was calling me out to San Diego...just that he was...so I came....now I do know. I know it was for me to find The Rock. I've been praying to find this church for years...praise God!
I feel that God is also calling me to take more leadership here, which is why I've been getting as immeresed as possible in the church.
However recently the Lord lead me to Yoga...not only Yoga but Holy Yoga...It's a Christian Yoga practice that "indroduces physical worship to the Lord, through prayer, breathe work, and movement. No one yet has this in SD or CA in any church, from my knowledge, but the founder is based out of Phoenix my home town. Let me tell you from the classes I've been to it's AMAZING...what a wonderful way to worship.
So many people from The Rock are in Yoga...that go to places that are based of of Hinduism and such...but we can base it through Christ here at The Rock! I urge ya to check out the website http://www.holyyogaministries.org/home.php what a great new ministry we can start! Also the training and certification would be held in Phoenix in the summer, June I believe, so I could go get trained and certified and bring it back to The Rock!! I feel God dropped all this in my lap for a purpose.
Hope to talk to you soon about this Miles, maybe this sunday after the 7oclock service. Or you can reach me by email I'm registered with the a.r.m.y and they have my information. I'm so excited!!!! Hope all is well you are in my prayers to keep on continuing to lead so many to Christ, what a gift you have! God Bless you!!
Wassup brother Miles, a servant of the Most High. I recently got married and had the opputunity to glorify God at the cerimony and the reception with brother Vic. We praise God for all He has down through you and through the Body. We heard the message at the Cox Arena and were saved in April of 2005.
On our honeymoon, we went to Ocho Rios,Jamaica where we also had the oppurtunity to share the love of Christ with those there. God is so good.
The thing I found is that there are local Christian Raggae artist that are born again and share the same vision Jesus gave you for Jamaica. The same passion to free the captives from traditions and to finally experience a relationship with the living God. It's in thier songs and I thought it would be good to have them perform at the crusades.
Most of the locals we spoke to have allot of respect for local artist which they can relate to more than any State side artists. I just wanted to let you know that it may be a good idea to have the local reggae Christians perform at the crusades. (I don't know if you have it set up this way yet, but it's burning in my heart to let you know.)
The one local Christian artist I found out about is called "Prodigal Son" and the lyrics in his songs describe the same vision you have about Jesus transforming Jamaica. A google search may reveal more about this servant. There is also "Papa san" who's album has reached the U.S.
God bless you Pastor and may you continue to walk in God's grace and mercy.
Ya mon.
