God’s answers to life’s biggest questions: I am, I have, and I will
It’s sad, but people often struggle to find purpose in life, wrestling with existential questions such as:
- Who am I?
- What do I have?
- What should I do?
They’re important questions, and they deserve answers. Fortunately, The Bible provides those answers.
Who am I?
Colossians 2:12 says that we were, “also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him (Jesus) from the dead.” Therefore, I am resurrected in Christ.
What do I have?
Colossians 3:1 says, “If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God.” Therefore, I have direct access to the throne of God.
What should I do?
Colossians 3:2-3 says, “Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.” Therefore, I will develop the mind of Christ.
Challenge
Examine your life. Where has your identity been confused or misaligned with these 3 pillars? Ask God to show you who you are in Him, and how to live out your God-given identity this week.
